Within our broad objectives Friends of the Escarpment Parks pursues several long-term projects and responsibilities.
In 2010-11 Friends of the Escarpment Parks produced the book "Environmental Weeds of the Toowoomba Region", using a Caring for our Country Grant.
- Carrying out environmental weeding and bushland rehabilitation within the parks;
- Promoting and facilitating the establishment of local park care groups to foster a sense of care and ownership of the parks;
- Cataloguing native and exotic plants found within Toowoomba's bushland areas;
- Propagating native plants for bushland regeneration;
- Supporting Toowoomba Regional Council Bushcapades environmental programs for children; and
- Planning daylight and spotlight walks within the parks.
