Distribution

Grows in moist areas in eastern Australia. It is often found in well-drained habitats in eucalyptus woodlands or forests (1).

Description

Erect tufted grass to 2.5 m. Leaf blades to 1 cm wide and large feathery flower heads to 50 cm long in Spring and Summer (2).
Seed food for birds and refuge for small reptiles
