Wildlife Carers and supporters in the local area are driving a campaign for the establishment of a regional Wildlife Hospital as an alternative to having to transport wildlife in need of hospital treatment to Brisbane.
The Darling Downs Wildlife Hospital Inc aims to establish a regional wildlife treatment and rehabilitation facility to support wildlife carers, veterinary clinics and conservation organisations across the Darling Downs. The hospital will provide triage, veterinary assessment, stabilisation, treatment and rehabilitation support to improve survival outcomes for injured and displaced native wildlife.
