Frog ID Week

Frog ID Week

Australian Museum is promoting the ninth annual FrogID Week to help put frogs on the map.

From the Moss Froglet in Tasmania to the Turtle Frog in Western Australia, the Green and Golden Bell Frog in south-eastern Australia, the Eungella Whirring Tree Frog in Queensland and the Tanami Toadlet in northern Australia, FrogID participants are helping improve our understanding of frogs right across the continent.

Start planning where you’ll use your FrogID app between 6-15 November to record frog calls. Local waterways, parks, farm dams and even backyards can all provide valuable frog records. You can also make submissions ahead of time to familiarise yourself with the app.

We’d love to receive your frog calls throughout FrogID Week, from as many locations as possible. Every frog call helps builds the national FrogID database – Australia’s largest resource of frog records, supporting research, conservation and environmental monitoring nationwide.
