Toowoomba Region Koala Habitat Project is excited to invite you to the Crows Nest Koala Festival on Sunday, 1st September 2024, at Centenary Park, Crows Nest.
This special event is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate and protect one of Australia’s most iconic animals—the koala.
Event Details:
Date: Sunday, 1st September 2024
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Centenary Park, Crows Nest
The festival will be filled with fun and educational activities for the whole family, including:
- Educational Talks: Learn about koalas, their habitats, and the crucial conservation efforts needed to protect them.
- Guided Bushwalks: Explore the natural beauty of our area and discover the habitats that koalas call home.
- Children’s Activities: Engage the little ones with fun and educational games and crafts.
This festival is more than just a day of celebration—it’s a chance to take action. With recent threats to koala habitats, including the impending destruction of Koala Trees in Highfields for more cookie-cutter development, your support and involvement are more important than ever to grow our call for koala-sensitive urban planning and design.
Why You Should Attend:
- Support a Cause That Matters: Help us raise awareness and take action to protect koalas and their habitats.
- Enjoy a Day of Learning and Fun: With activities for all ages, there’s something for everyone at the festival.
- Make a Difference in Your Community: Learn how you can advocate for koalas and be part of a movement to safeguard their future.
We would love to see you there, sharing your passion for koala conservation and helping to make this event a success. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors—together, we can make a difference!
