The Friends of Escarpment Parks is hosting our Open Day at Williams Park in Highfields this year on Saturday, March 8th as part of Toowoomba Regional Council Parks Week.

FEP has recently started working there and although it is not a large park, it has the added interest of Klein Creek running through the middle. The co-ordinator is Karen Sams, as listed on the Park Care page on the FEP website.
The proposed programme for the Open Day includes static displays from several local conservation groups and there will be refreshments available on site.
Scheduled activities are:
- 07.30 Guided bird identification walk
- 09.00 Guided plant identification walk
- 09.30 Guided plant identification walk
- 10.00 Guided plant identification walk
- 11.00 guided butterfly identification walk
- 11.30 William’s Park geology talk
- 19.00 guided spotlight walk
Any FEP member who may be interested in helping on the day, please contact Penny McGowan on editorfep@gmail.com
