We will be holding our Annual General Meeting at 9.30am (morning tea) for a 10.00am start on Saturday 10 August, at the DDEC Eco Hut, 1a Heller St Rangeville. Please attend to support this important meeting. The minutes of the 2023 AGM and agenda for the 2024 AGM can be downloaded.
- The meeting will commence with our guest speaker, Ahri Tallon coordinator of the Darling Downs Environment Council (DDEC).
- All our committee positions will fall vacant at the AGM, and we will need to fill these roles. Ray Addison, our treasurer of many years, has now retired. Rob our president will be stepping down after his second two year stint in that role. And we will also be looking for a new secretary (The secretary’s functions include, but are not limited to— (a) calling meetings of the association, including preparing notices of a meeting and of the business to be conducted at the meeting in consultation with the president of the association; and (b) keeping minutes of each meeting; and (c) keeping copies of all correspondence and other documents relating to the association.) We would also like to encourage members to join the committee to assist with the background work which ensures the ongoing viability of the FEP. Please download and complete the nomination form. Nominations can be taken during the AGM.
- The meeting will also need to ratify the new legally required changes to our dispute resolution process. Please see the attachment below Changes for NFP groups 2024. The grievance procedure on page one will be replacing clause 11 in our constitution.
We encourage all members to attend this important meeting.
