Weed Spotters – March 2025

Amaroo microforest – rescheduled
Cyclone Alfred is moving on it is now possible to reschedule this eventful Sunday, 16 March from 7:30 am. A bit more than a year ago, Amaroo Environmental Education Centre planted approximately 900 seedlings in a microforest. The plants have grown well but would benefit from some maintenance work. The most recent work in Panorama Crescent park has been the uncovering of an historical dry rock wall which we believe was constructed late 1920’s the unemployed people living in Redwood Park as a practice exercise for the one-way section of Prince Henry Drive.

CANCELLED – FEP Open Day
The FEP Open Day for Parks Week which was to be held at Williams Park on Saturday, 8 March has been CANCELLED in response to Cyclone Alfred.
