An FEP committee member recently received an email message from a family living in the Jubilee Park area:
Just thought I’d share a bit of exciting news. Yesterday Ben was riding through the Jubilee Park bike trails and spotted this beautiful koala on the Defibrillator Track. It was the first one we’ve ever seen in the park, so it was a pretty special moment. I’ve attached a couple of photos.
We’ve also put in a few more hours over the past little while working in the bushland behind our place, continuing to remove lantana, privet and camphor laurel and others. It’s encouraging to see the area slowly improving, although there’s still plenty still to do.
Does the group do working bees for the Jubilee Park area? If not is that something I could potentially organise. It would be great to get a few more people involved in looking after this part of the escarpment.
