Park visit – Rainforest Gully

Park visit – Rainforest Gully

Our next Park visit on 11th April, and the first for the year, is to Rainforest Gully which is situated within the Picnic Point Parklands.

Rainforest Gully is the most recent bushland park to be worked by FEP, and Deb and Michael have taken on the task of regeneration. It is1.5 hectares of remnant dry rainforest.  It is State heritage listed and mapped as Endangered Ecosystem 12.5.6 under the Vegetation Management Act.  There have been various plantings there over the years but not all are local native plants.

Meet at 9am Saturday 11th April at Rainforest Gully Trailhead sign on the right, down Tobruk Memorial Drive just after the picnic and toilet facilities.

Bring your tea and biscuits for a casual get-together afterwards.
