The greatest part of the work done by FEP volunteers involves removing plants that are not part of the natural environment and promoting the growth of plants native to the local area. Hence it is not surprising that the organisation and its members have a keen interest in plants.
FEP has been involved in publication of multiple books about plants in the region. In addition, there are lists of plants found in several of the parks where FEP volunteers work:
