Environmental and Heritage Preservation – Promoting sustainable practices in agriculture, land management, and the protection of environmental and cultural heritage assets.
Eligibility:
Community groups and not-for-profit organisations that deliver benefits to the communities surrounding the New Acland Coal Mine, including those within the Toowoomba Region, are invited to apply. Funded projects must align with one of the following priority areas:
- Regional Skills Development and Economic Diversification – Opportunities for mentoring, training, and skills development that strengthen workforce capability, community resilience, and contribute to long-term regional economic growth.
- Community Infrastructure and Connectivity – Ensure adequate physical and digital infrastructure to support growth and improved connectivity, meaning community can access services and stay linked to information and opportunities.
- Health and Well-being – Initiatives that improve community health opportunities, promote wellbeing, and encourage social connection and inclusion.
- Youth and Community Engagement – Supporting inclusive event/programs that engage young people, strengthen community connections, and encourage participation through volunteering and community-led initiatives.
- Environmental and Heritage Preservation – Promoting sustainable practices in agriculture, land management and the protection of environmental and cultural heritage assets.
